The best font for embroidering quilt labels depends on personal preference and the style of the quilt. However, some commonly used fonts for quilt labels are cursive, serif, and block. It is recommended to choose a font that is easy to read and complements the quilt design.
To find the properties in Brother Embroidery Software for Windows, you can try going to the top menu and selecting "File" or "Edit" from there you may find an option such as "Properties" or "Preferences" that will allow you to access the properties/settings of the software. I spilled liquid on my laptop and fried my computer. I am unable to retrieve any data from my computer. I had a computer geek try without success. My BES software says it is compatible with Windows 7. My new computer has Windows 10. Is there any way to load this software onto my new computer with Windows 10?

You could try running the software in the compatibility mode. To do this, have your setup.exe or the CD and right click the setup package. Go to Properties > Compatibility and select Windows 7 from the list. After this procedure, tick the Run as Administrator from the list and launch the software. It should start this way.
I saw that there is a free download on Software Informer, but I am wondering if it is completely free, just a free trial, or free with limited functions. If it is only a free trial, what is the cost for the full program?

Unfortunately, as far as I can see, none of the two Embroidery Lettering Software mentioned on Software Informer are free. According to a comparison I found on the official website, the BES version, the one for advanced designers costs $399, while the ELS edition, the one for people who simply embroider as a hobby costs $199. In the previously mentioned comparison, you can also see the difference in features between the two versions.
I purchased BES Embroidery lettering software version 2, but I can't get it to download. It keeps telling me there was an interruption. Do you have any suggestions to overcome this?

It's possible that you encounter some problems with the download server. The download link from the official website was tested and the download went without problems. If you have difficulties with the installer, check the instruction page that is provided on the website mentioned above. You shouldn't have any problems.
I have been using the Brother Embroidery Software in my small embroidery business for about 20 years. It works on a parallel port key. As you know, most computers today do not have parallel ports. They now use USB. How can I convert this key to USB?

If you use the software with an embroidery machine that connects to your computer via a parallel port key, you can try a simple parallel port key to USB adapter on new computers. You can find this kind of cables on local shops, eBay, Amazon or others similar websites. Also, since you're using a new computer, you might need to update the software to the latest version.
I don't think the software works with the machine you've mentioned. On their official website, there are other applications listed to work with their products. Access the website to read more about the PE-Design series that works with the Innovis devices.
There are multiple versions of the software, therefore you have to check all three of them. There is also a trial for one of the versions (PE-Design 10).
